E90 & Sachs shock absorbers
All these years now I have not understand why there are two different codes from Sachs for E90 M-Tech editions models.
The Sachs 311403-4 are for standard chassis while the Sachs 311405-6 are for M-Tech sport chassis. But the manufacturer provide also the 311407-8 again for M-Tech sport chassis! Usually, the last pair 311407-8 is more expensive from the 311405-6. Does anyone know the real "physical" differences between these two offered pairs? or it is a market trick for "newer" lci models but with no real difference? (Obviously, the 311407-8 might be for later models but I strongly believe that there were no differences between the years in E90 critical suspension parts (i.e. changing physically a shock absorber might needed a change of its top mount but these remained the same). Many thanks.

i am not sure, try www.etk.cc and check through it if there are different codes for ie E90/E91 and E92/E93. it might have different for E93 as it is heavier but i don't believe so. this is something that has to do with the springs and that is why there is a variety of different springs throughout the E9x range.
