Any good shops? Illinois Southwest Suburbs
I've been chasing a 30FF low boost code for a while now and have sort of thrown in the towel on diagnosing it myself as I feel like I've tried everything at this point. Anyone know of a knowledgeable shop near southwest suburbs of Chicago?
Thanks!

Would you go to one over the other for the low boost issue? Looks like ZIMA is more of a performance shop specific to BMW and Fluid is more of a general repair shop covering a lot of different oems. But Fluid has more positive reviews on Google...

Replaced both boost solenoids
Replaced all vacuum lines Pressurized charge system to about 7psi no major leaks (other that spots I had to tape closed and the rear turbo inlet) Pressurized charge pipe and tested DVs Hooked up vacuum bleeder directly to wastegates and pulled about 20inHg to attempt to build full boost (to rule out bad vacuum pump) but still got nothing Just tuned it yesterday with MHD stage 1 just out of curiosity if the higher boost target would get it above 0psi. But still no luck All I have left is attempt to adjust the wastegates, but pretty sure you can only adjust the rear one in the car. Any other suggestions at this point? Possibly TMAP sensor is bad? Here's a datalog prior to the tune (stock) http://datazap.me/u/dc441/3-4-17?log...a=3-5-23-26-28 Last edited by DC441; 04-16-2017 at 11:43 AM.. |

Have you tested for boost leaks from the drivers side intercooler connection? Most common boost leaks occur on intercooler connections. Also did you check your vacuum canisters to make sure they aren't cracked or anything?

I'm thinking at this point it isn't a boost leak only because it would have to be a BIG leak if I can't even get above 0psi. |

I wouldn't go to neither. Let me know if you need help adjusting both wastegates. Also, I can help with custom tune. Better than MHD.

Just adjusted the rear wastegate and eliminated the rattle but still no boost. I did pull codes again and the 2ABC and 3100 are still there actually I had thought that went away before and only the 30FF. Based on that I'm thinking of replacing the TMAP sensor since that's what the 2ABC seems to imply. Thoughts?
Anyone local willing to let me try their tmap sensor out to see if that fixes it? I'm in Willowbrook, IL |

I didn't adjust the front turbo wastegate since I'm not even sure it's possible (or an easy task at least) |

So just to close this thread out to anyone searching. ended up replacing the turbos. Both wastegate bushings were totally worn out and would not close properly. Got the new ones installed around September last year and has been running great ever since!
