E90 Twin Pipe

Gents as you know the 320D comes with a rear silencer facing downwards, after checking on the Bay i observed some modifications.

Just checking if any members here have fitted the following kit and whare to find one at a decent cost.

Not all 320d's have a downward facing pipe. See here for example:

Your pictures look like they may be of a BMW Performance exhaust. In which case you can only buy them from a BMW dealer.

Ive got one of these fitted, got it 2nd hand from this site from a user.
It does make a difference to the car, also a better exhaust note

The one presently fitted from new is not so appealing.

The above part number is for the rear box only; you will also need the bracket/both/clamp shown in your top picture, and you will need to cut your existing back box off as there are no factory clamps.
Full list of part numbers required are:
1: Back Box (Muffler): 18302185802
2: Hanging bracket: 18207526850
3: Torx bolt & washer: 51217062145
4: Rubber mounting: 18208511880
5: Exhaust clamp (60.6mm): 18307793025

Many thanks for the information, would i be correct that the threaded whole is already there from new, for the items 2 & 3.

And also after the original back box has been cut the new silencer will slip over the original pipe and then connected using clamp 5

My task now is get one at a reasonable cost, there is big difference here but it may be there is the fitting kit that's with the one costing more.

You may not need to order a clamp separately. My Performance Exhaust came with the clamp supplied...

I am not familiar with the costs of these parts in the UK, please can you point me in the right direction whare i can make the purchase with the full fitting kit and have the items delivered to an address in London.

I had my single pipe back box deleted and a twin pipe convertor piece installed for £120 at an exhaust specialist. No problems.

I bought my perf exhaust from liebmann in Germany, but that was before brexit so the exchange rate was better.
