oh crap do I need to take my BMS filter out?

So I just installed my BMS intake a couple of days ago to go along with my SSTT. Today I realized my brakes were squeaking so I guess I want to bring it in for service. I know I need to take out the SSTT but do I really have to take out the BMS filter as well and install the old one back? I'm to lazy

Unless you know the SA well or if the SA is cool with mods, I'd do it just in case.

I hope not. That is just a freaking air filter, they better not give you crap for that.

BMS filter is on my to do list as well.

i would just take it off... both of those mods are pretty easy to remove.. it just sucks trying to get that filter box back in haha

anyway... do you notice a difference in sound with the BMS intake from stock compared to with it on with the SSTT? (is it louder?)

Haven't taken mine in yet with the BMS. Tischer didn't give me any problem on the M3 with CAI.

BMS filter SHOULD be fine...... but take out SSTT, of course.

Wow..fuck that. If I had it I wouldn't take it out, especially if the problem you are bringing it in for has nothing to do with the intake/engine.

sorry, but the better question is why you think your dealer is going to fix your brake squeal. they will tell you your pads are fine and will do pretend to do some bullshit (remove and clean sensor) and send you on your way only to have your brakes continue to squeal.

keep the filter in and be honest that you have it installed. ask the question for future reference and let them know that you are willing to take it off ASAP if there is a problem. the techs know this mod is harmless. if you throw a cel THEN there runs the risk of a warranty void.

obviously the TT needs to be removed.

i have the BMS and i'm not about to reinstall the factory airbox + harness every time i need to run by the dealer.
