Hey all,

I have been looking at getting some new wheels and a guy around here totaled his e92 and is selling these BBS for a reasonable price. They are about two hours away and I have to trade my stock wheels for them. I have been scouring Google looking for a good way to spot fake/replica BBS wheels but from the given pictures, I am not versed enough to be able to determine the authenticity of these. Could someone be of assistance and not only tell me if they are fake/reps but how to spot one of this style? and what style these are if you know off the top of your head? I can always keep pounding google until I find the style at least...

If he's willing to swap them for standard wheels, they're reps. Also your wheels will be worth more than them.

Hard to tell from those photos but the biggest giveaway is around the face/lip there's no gap and the edge is rounded not hard

There should be a BBS stamping on the center hub on the back side. Or even on the front side under the center cap.

Also if it's a 3 piece wheel, the mounting screws should extend to the rear with a nut. This nut can be a free spinning nut or welded into the barrel.

But yeah, I'm pretty sure they're fake/reps. Unless there's something terribly wrong with the wheels.
