All this talk of turbo failures....

This reminds me of AudiWorld when I had my B5 S4...turbos blowing everywhere...even in stock boost form. Of course they were KKK K03 turbos, which were dinosaurs.

I had the "tea kettle or siren" sound for 40k miles, and they never failed (GIAC chipped more than half of the time).

I knew this would start happening, and is why I went with Dinan, due to the warranty. Gives you a bit more peace of mind when modding, even with the extra price.

I think there is a lot of concern out there, but in reality, there haven't been too many turbo failures.

A lot of speculation and worry - whether this is actually warranted is something many of us won't be able to establish except in time.

Put your flamesuit on...i just got railed for posting one of these threads I think it's good that you went with Dinan. In my situation, being a lease, I found that the SSTT was the best choice for me (due to moderate gains, boost increase and ease of install).

one fail will worry entire community because in fact we all have turbo engine which isn't cheap to replace and these are so new, meaning not much of used/aftermarket replacement available, no long term tests were done, meaning nobody can be 100% sure, not to mention that every tuners throwing different opinions about it. there is no perfect answer which is better, yet... only time will tell...
