Hi.
I was searching and cannot find.
To use winkfp to update CIC, under ediabas.ini, on interface, what I need to chose to update cic via MOST?
And to have apps without FSC what daten version do I need?
My cic is C16 and I have apps. This is to do on a friend's car.

Use easy connect and set it to remote, MOST_Async.

You MUST also flash it in the correct order;

63, 62, A0

Also flash NAAB (0ba), Program (0pa), Data (0da)

(Except for A0 which just needs program (0pa)

It's difficult with winkfp but possible. Be sure to use a power supply and genuine ICOM B (MOST). Clone ICOM B are often really bad.

In my opinion it's best to you ISTA P expert mode for this. Winkfp useful if you brick it.

Thanks.
I've read somewhere that correct order was 62,63 and A0. You say first 63 and then 62. There is any problem if I change that order?
I've never used ISTA-P. I can try it.

I've always done 63, 62, A0.

Where did you hear it was 62 first? I don't think it's correct.

I'm not sure how much I would trust that post since the title is "How to update BMW E87 2006 CIC with ICOM A2 WinKFP?"

CIC wasn't even on the market until 2008. If you flash 62 first, it will most likely fail during the flash.

EDIT: Not to mention, there was no mention of having adequate power source during the flash...

That process uses Expert Mode. There's more than one way to do the flash, but I've always used comfort mode as well.

IMO, neither is the right or wrong way, just a preference/knowledge thing.

So, I can do it in comfort mode?

Sorry, I should have stated comfort mode is fine.

I just use expert mode in winfkp now as it gives the ability to downgrade as well as upgrade. For certain modules this is useful.
