Was in the same boat, but then I went with a M3 swap for 3.15 ratio. Got M3 axles and a custom made drive shaft. Not sure about your power goals but this setup can handle more power.
Good Luck! |

Do you have a list of the components you needed for the swap and the cost?

Yeah sure,
- Bought M3 differential, axles and driveshaft - 1000$ shipped. (cost varies depending on the miles of differential) - salvage yard - Had to buy bolts and clips for M3 axles (they are different than 335i), and Bolts for driveshaft ( there is 1 big bolt in 335i) - 30$ (used) - Differential fluid - 60-140$ depending on which one you want. - cost to rework the driveshaft - You will need to get it shortened to fit - $280, mine includes new U-Joints, new center bearing and thicker shaft pipe to hold more power & balancing - New axle bolts - 20$ a personal choice. - I also changes to M3 subframe bushings and solid differential mounts, but they are an option too. |
