Turbo upgrade (most whp on pump)

Has anyone hit 500whp on pump with upgraded turbo's? or does the fueling system still hinder such gains? What's the highest number someone has hit on 93? I want to get back into the n54 game but it still sounds so complicated to make over 500whp unless you go port injection upgraded LPFP with mixes of e85 and meth.

424whp stock turbos stock fuel system (no E85, no meth) at 21PSI

Vargas did some testing as well and hit 568whp on just 93 with their GC turbos, but this of course requires a lot of fuel system upgrades. They didn't state what hardware they used for fueling but I would guess their upgraded HPFP and a beefy LPFP setup maybe with PI.

It's doable, octane will limit it more than anything else. It's easy to make power on E85, that's why everyone uses it, but need an increased volume and higher E85 content necessitates TBI/PI and possibly multiple LPFPs.

I'm close to 500whp on true straight not-even-that-good 93 octane through 4 cats and an airbox. Not even a can of octane boost. It might've hit an actual 500, but the dyno dude didn't get to WOT (full boost target) until 5000-5500rpm. ~470wtq at like 12psi in peak torque area, whp was about the same number IIRC. RR600s = 15T comp wheels, which are kinda average/small as far as hybrids go.

VTT also ran like 2° timing IIRC. Said EGTs weren't a problem, but not something I'd want daily on the street.

A local friend was able to hit a tad over 500 with pure 2, 93 and he is xi.

"Give_em_the_dd" but he is banned from here. I'll ask him to text me his dyno graphs.

I think it's because he works for Fuel-It

E90post banned him after he made a post talking about one of their fuel pumps, I think. He didn't post prices, links, but yeah they gave him da boot! Lol

We've had a couple customers go about 520 or so whp on the GC lites, the GC's will make over 500 whp easily on pump gas. We made 570 whp with them back when we did 93 octane testing. Our tune was aggressive on boost but not timing -might be more there.

I can understand he may have walked a fine line but, if he didn't post prices or links, I would think banning would be a little harsh.

His build threads have served as excellent advertisements for the products that the forum vendors DO offer.

I agree, I see him often, I'll post updates as he gives them.

Last he told me he was getting ready to go to the track tomorrow, not positive though.

Yes sir! 570.

We turned PI on a little over 515 just for safety, but the fuel system had more in it, we just don't fool around with running near limits fuel wise.

It's worth noting that we didn't spend much time tuning to get here; cranked up the boost, ran low timing, and got some respectable numbers. I feel that some of the more talented tuners could probably take this further.

What boost levels are people using on hybrid turbos running 94 octane pump (CAD)? I've just had Pure Stage 2 DD turbos installed and car is FBO, but am only running the standard "Map 6 boost targets" , which is 16psi. Obviously the car is able to run much higher with new turbos, but I'm not sure what boost levels are safe to run.

Really depends on how much timing you're running, how rich, etc. Seen a few guys in the vicinity of 20 psi but obviously much lower timing targets than ethanol maps at the same boost level.
