How to code out cornering light

I have coded many cars but seem to be stuck on a set of errors that I cannot code out. Before you guys start crucifying me, I am not talking about side markers or corner LEDs. Thank you.

P. S i went up and down the nfrm3 module and there were no codes really pointing to cornering hot/cold checks.

In the NFRM set the following to aktiv:

ERR_SCHWENK_L_IGNORIEREN
ERR_SCHWENK_R_IGNORIEREN

and the following to nicht_aktiv:
KALTUE_FL_M2_6_M1_04
WARMUE_FL_M2_6_M1_04

That will ignore cornering light faults and turn off the bulb checking for those bulbs. You may want to try the first set, and if that doesn't work, change the second set as well.

Wow, out of all codes given to me or any research I have done; this was the fix

Set KLS_BEI_AL_AKTIV and ALC_SCHWENK_LATCH to nicht_aktiv.

Cornering light issues on e92

Hi, I´m having cornering light malfunction (I have searched all the web without a solution) and maybe you guys can help me with your experience.

I have a 335i e92 2010.
I changed the cornering light to an LED bulb (canbus error free) and I´m getting 00A8A9 (High beam and cornering broken right) and 00A8A8 (Defective main beam or cornering left), scanned with Carly.

I tried to clean the fault codes with Carly but nothing happens (the fault error still there)... I was thinking on removing that cornering bulb and clean with carly and see if it disappear (because maybe is the module), and then connect the bulb again.

Someone can help me?
I appreciate!! Thank you!

I coded mine out with Carly. Was well over a year ago, but it seemed like there was a dedicated setting labeled cornering light.

so I upgraded the cornering lights to LED, there is an option to turn them off, but I'm trying to stop the voltage test so I don't get the error.

I upgraded mine to LED as well. I never got the error, but voltage test on the cornering lights and my LED fogs, made the front of my car look like an emergency vehicle when I started the car. I'm just glad that I got it corrected before encountering anyone with photo-sensitivity. From what I remember I don't think you disable the voltage monitoring for the cornering lights with Carly. You can disable the cornering lights with Carly and then use your fogs as cornering lights.

not sure I follow if you disable the cornering then do they not work at all? and if you use fog as cornering then when you turn wheel they did fog comes on? in that case why upgrade corners to led if they don't work?

That is correct. If you disable them, they do not work at all. If you use your fogs as cornering lights (I personally have not done this) I would imagine that whatever direction that you turn the wheel, then that side fog light would engage. Someone with more expertise may have more insight on this. Your options are this: 1.) Leave the factory halogens in the cornering lights and use them as factory installed. (I personally didn't like having halogen cornering lights, HID headlights and LED coronas on mine. It just seemed to make it look ghetto) 2.) Upgrade to LED's and find some other means than Carly to disable the voltage check, so that the bulbs do not flicker and that you do not receive the error during ignition of the vehicle. 3.) Disable the cornering lights altogether or 4.) Use your fog lights as cornering lights option through Carly.

If you have LED fogs, you will also have the flickering during ignition unless you code that out to, which is an option in Carly. Even though I upgraded my cornering lights to LED, I found that my LED's weren't as bright as the factory halogens anyway. Plus, I had several people question me about my lights thinking that I had a bulb out when they saw on cornering light on. I played with several options and ultimately chose to do disable them.

I no longer have my E93 and haven't used any other programs for coding, but I'm sure the voltage check for the cornering lights could be coded out, just not with Carly.

Hope this helps.

Try setting ALC_KLS_ENABLE to nicht_aktiv in FRM.

In bimmercode I did it in expert mode - footwell module to 3404 pwm-teil-1 to "PWM_FL_NSW_FKT_ABBLIEGEL" set to "wert_03".. Not sure if this is the same in Carly..

Sorry for bringing this now.

I'm in a 2008 E92 M3, got the cornering lights failure warning on the dash, and I think it's related to the left ballast unit, but I'm not willing to replace it for now, so, right now I just wanted to turn off the warning.

I managed to find the following expressions and turned them to aktiv:
ERR_SCHWENK_L_IGNORIEREN
ERR_SCHWENK_R_IGNORIEREN

But could not find the following:
KALTUE_FL_M2_6_M1_04
WARMUE_FL_M2_6_M1_04

The module I went was NFRM.

With only those first two, the warning kept on coming.

What else could I look for? Maybe in another module?

The code above is for FRM3 you need FRM2, all to nicht_aktiv

KALTCHECK_E89_FL__E7x_NSW
KALTCHECK_E89_NSW__E7x_FL
WARMCHECK_E89_FL_E7x_NSW
WARMCHECK_E89_NSW__E7x_FL

That should do, report back.

Thanks for replying.

Both nsw__e7x_fl were already default set as nicht_aktiv

And both fl_e7x_nsw were aktiv, so I changed to nicht_aktiv

The others I returned all to default, and put the two ignorieren as aktiv again.

Unfortunately the fault still came on.
