NC 1/2 Mile
Went down today to New London NC for the Wannagofast 1/2 mile, today as a spectator.
Spent time with the guys from BPC and watched a Lambo hit 245 mph. In a 1/2 mile. From a dig. |

Insane! What'd it run in the 1/4?
Good luck tomorrow. Stay safe and please post your results. I highly recommend data logging your runs. |

I'll try to get some data...you know it's not my forte : Every time he shifted - swear you could hear a massive 'sonic boom'. Three other cars hit 235 or higher. |

It didn't appear to be exceptionally quick because it has a high gear to allow for a higher top speed. I'm sure it was still impressively fast, especially 1/8 - 1/4.
Any update on your run? Quote:

Couple of tweaks and 150 (or more) is reasonably within reach. Overall - the car performed fantastic and received a lot of attention. I was the only diesel running for the weekend. Ran 4 BMW's - 2 M5's, M6, and a new Comp package F80 M3. I'll try to get the videos and go pro footage edited and load it to YouTube with links here. The TT Lambo hit 250 on Sunday - a new 1/2 record. |

Traction/ hooking will lower your 1/4 MPH. Headwind will hurt for sure. 145 is a pretty good considering it's a diesel that had 265BHP from the factory. I think 150 is going to be a bit harder than you think.
Did the F80 run the 1/2 mile? Interesting the Lambo broke a record... winds couldn't have been that bad. Quote:

PS That F80 made 450rwhp on our dyno and did 140mph in the 1/2 and stock f10 M5 were doing around 145mph |

The day started cool and calm, then turned hot with a moderate wind. Just a FYI - if anyone goes to one of these events, Sunday is usually the better day to get more runs. After 2:30 or so - you can literally hot lap your car because the staging line is so short. I made my passes and was able to drive the car home. It was a good day. Big shout out to Dan, Bob, and Tom from BPC for their hospitality on Saturday and Sunday. It was HOT and the shade was COOL |

Damn! I'd be content with similar performance as an F80 M5 0-145mph.
What were the stock F10's trapping at the split? From what I could find, stock F10's are trapping 120-123. Quote:

That looks like a fun time. Glad nobody got hurt.
Was curious how they substantiate records on an event like this where the elevation profile of the course may have large variations from location to location? For instance, this NC 1/2 mile event looks like it has over a 1% downhill grade for the course, which will give an advantage over a non sloped course. ASBSECU E93, did you post your timeslip from this event somewhere? Was curious as to your 1/4 mile speed (I know it was already asked above, but didn't see it posted).
