Need help with charge pipe pypass tube removal

My stock charge pipe broke today and I need to remove it but I can't remove the bypass tube. It looks like this:



I assume I twist the gray ring in the direction I indicated? Yes?

It won't budge in that direction so I tried the other direction and it didn't move either.

What am I doing wrong?

Use a pair of pliers. It Will turn.
The direction is correct.

There are 4 total connectors that look like that.
