Collinite 476 or Meguiar's #16 for durability?

as a winter wax or as wax for a car not garaged, which offers the most durable protection, Collinited 476 or Meguiar's #16? we can get #16 over here.

thanks.

both are great waxes...but for protection and durability, invest in a sealant!

Collinite is more of a wax/sealant hybrid, it actually lasts longer than many sealants, so my vote goes to Collinite.

476S will outlast most sealants, and imo, provide better protection during that time. #16 is long lasting for a wax, but generally will not outlast 476s.

so one does not really need a sealant if you use 476? or are there any advantages of first layering a sealant with 476 on top (except for the obvious added protection-stage)?

Well it's kind of debatable. Some people prefer sealants in hot climates, because they say the wax is negatively effected by extreme heat (which may or may not be true). In my experience, using 467 or 845 either will last as long as just about any sealant, so there is no real benefit putting a sealant on first. Of course if you really want to, well, I would understand. It is fun afterall.

I'd have to say 476S. This stuff lasts through anything.
