Dinan-like flash
+ Procede-like customization + Juicebox-like pricing = Sharkedit Jim C. you are a bloody genius and I can't even buy your product (or could I )

Hmmm... I wonder exactly what the base map consists of. For previous cars, that brings up memories of a map that would barely get the car to start. This is certainly very interesting news though! I can't wait to hear some more details.
Also, I wonder how BMW is attempting to limit the torque output with the new program update... that is not what I wanted to hear.

Based on what I read from Terry, injectors are hard capped at a certain output by the ecu. |

This seems like great news for people to tune their own cars. Problem is I sure as shit have NO IDEA how to tune my car and THAT'S why I pay for a piggy or flash tune. Let someone else do all the dirty work and meddling with settings and I just pay them for it.

Easier to install. Stick in OBDII port, press button, done.
I'm sure maps will be shareable by the end users. It is also available with a base map, that sounds like it's Dinan equivalent in terms of power output, that you can then tweak as you like. |

ok, but all this is kinda useless without any dynos or power gains quotes....i mean, for all we know this could be worth 20hp...

"As of Progman v29.2 - BMW is updating MSD80 to attempt to limit the
torque output of a "piggybacked" car to 400 nm - please note I said "attempt" to limit - because I don't want to get into arguments on the internet." So does this Shark Edit have a way around this? "OK - here is what you DONT know. Presence of these piggyback units on MSD81 is going to set a "hidden" fault code. Neither the number of this code nor the name of the code is important. You can just call this code "Warranty Gone" It says that you had (note, not HAVE, but HAD) a piggyback on your car at some point." So does this mean that MSD80 does NOT have this datalogging capability? |

Sounds like MSD80 can't log, but will require updates to existing tunes with newest progman. |

With this, you flash it by sticking it in the OBDII port, and pushing a button. |
