https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/kyl...ine-detune-kit
After many discussions with Kyle Bascombe, who owns a gorgeous Z4 3.0si Coupe we realized that there is such a thing as "too much horsepower". For some enthusiasts there is such a thing as too much horsepower. The N52 engine has a low output version and a high output version. The high output version features a three stage intake manifold and different software. Many who have a lower output N52 upgrade to the three stage intake manifold to get a high output N52. This kit looks to do the exact opposite. Those who have a E86 Z4 Coupe 3.0si are unfortunate in the fact that there was no lower output version available like in the E85 Z4 Roadster. This kit has been designed with those enthusiasts in mind and features the super sweet single stage intake manifold from the lower output version of the N52. Installing this kit will require a flash tune from the dealer to the different software used to create less power on the N52. Power losses expected can be approximately 50 horsepower. You will find that your Z4 3.0si Coupe is much slower than it was before and doesn't react so instantly to throttle input. This kit is a great way to turn your Z4 3.0si Coupe into a BRZ/FRS like car. Includes "3.0i badge" from lower horsepower Z4's. Anyone running the detune kit? LOL Kyle Bascombe must be a member on here.

Doesn't make sense to me. It's like chopping off one leg so you can walk slower.

it would still be faster than a true single stage car unless you also got the "downgrade" factory single stage tune.
(I'm pretty sure this was meant as a joke) |

You should sell your detune flash services to FCP. Never know, might get a sale

You don't want to run these cars any lower than 330 power, btw,,when it says dealer installed, does the dealer even jump a 25/38 car to 30 numbers with the 3si?
