Recommended shops for bumper protector
Looking to protect my bumper. From what I understand clear coating over the bumper and partial hood is my best bet.
Has anyone done this? Can anyone recommend a shop? |

After a two year wait I'm finally going full bolt on. VRSF Parts in the mail. N54 though. Bought a 2010 e60. Know anyone looking for a well maintained 335xi? |

Keep both and start a collection. Is the 2010 in great shape and you want to keep it that way with the clear film?

hahahahahah. I've got two kids man. Can't afford two turbos. Unless I get two more kids? <I'm Ron Burgondy?> yeah 2010 is in good shape. I've seen a quote so far for ~$800. Brand new bumper and I've had it shipped out here so it still looks mint. definitely don't want it looking like the 335 bumper. Someone said these things don't really hold up. Can't really get around the rock chips for ever and you end up having to touch it up as you would the paint.
Any truth? |

Clear bras have been around forever and have seen a shitload of development. The modern clear bra is self healing and doesn't yellow/fade/haze like they use to. Light debris on the road, you'll be fine. Depending on size of rock and speed, you're bound to get a ding. The good thing is the clear bra takes the hit.. not your paint. Honestly, if you were just worried about rock chips and you don't mind repainting. Just get a resurface and repaint annually. If you have a pristine original paint front bumper, you want the clear bra. Clear bra and vinyl has saved my ass many times parked around boston. I'd rather rewrap than repaint. Most placed will offer some sort of discount for a returning customer as well. I've had alot of people come in for full color changes instead of a full clear bra ![]() |
