Welding in Sacramento
Im planning to do the PE mod on my car but every muffler shop wants over $400+ and they cant delete the secondary cats. I will do all the cutting but I cant weld so I was wondering if anybody would be willing the weld the parts for me. I will compensate for the work done.

I paid $160 with resonator delete, add in X-pipe and PE mod at the time. It's probably a little more expensive now because everyone goes to him. They cut and weld from the top of the muffler so you can't see it.

That's a pretty good price.
I did mine with JB weld, I couldn't justify spending so much money just for some welding. I hate doing "ghetto" mods to my car but the JB weld actually worked surprisingly well and I have no leaks or anything and it sounds good. As for putting the rear section back onto the car I used exhaust clamps which again actually worked very well. I did have to pay a shop to swap out my resonated X pipe for non-resonated but I was ok with the $50 for that. |
