255/35/18 vs. 255/40/18
Currently running 255/35/18 on the rear but managed to get some cheap Bridgestone 255/40/18 tyres, took them to my local tyre shop and he said that it’s a bad idea to fit them as it could smash the transfer box. Anyone know if I can get away with this small difference?
I am aware that the speedo may be 3 or so % out. Also the car has been lowered about 30mm. Thanks! |

Only a problem if your car is 4 wheel drive.

I'd say its better over speedbumps but the rides never been poor despite being lowered.
