High Idle After Changing Spark Plugs
I have 36k on my car, been tuned since 30k (fbo, map5 jb4 + bef) and started getting misfires on cylinder 2 so I changed the plugs. The plugs fixed the misfire and the car pulls harder then ever but the idle is now higher. It used to be aroudn 600rpm and now stays at 750. 2 things that I can think of doing is a walnut blast and clean vanos solenoids.
Just looking for some opinions on what I should do or is this normal for the rpm to be around 750? |

Reset adaptions?
But I notice mine does tend to vary some. Try cycling AC.

The idle sits at 600 when started but then when I drive and come to a stop it's at 750. Do you think that could still be a vacuum issue? I'll definitely check the vacuum hoses tomorrow though.

Actually, that I know of, no vacuum is provided by the engine on a 335. Its all by Vpump. Now that could still mean that you have a vac leak but generally it affects the turbo WG operation, ext flapper and brakes only; not idle.

Well looks like it wasn't a vacuum issue since the idle sorted itself out and is back to normal. Wish I knew what could have been causing it. Maybe it just needed some time to sort itself out after resetting adaptations.

Awesome,it's just a quick dianostics or previous work done, some get cited near completion of a job and overlook something. Like when guys do dps and change he O2s around.

these things don't have the most consistent idles. varying between 600 and 750 while not common is certainly periodic that I have seen on two n54s.

Well that's good to hear. I'm always a bit cautious with any changes, I like to nip anything in the butt before bigger problems arise. Car is running great which is great news. Just need to swap out that fuel pump soon so I can start running some e85.
