2nd gear roll problem

n54 e92 i am FBO , new clutch and flywheel 10k miles on them . mhd e60 OTS

alright everyone, heres my situation when I'm on 2nd gear and go WOT the car pull spins like it should you know, no clutch slip or nothing. BUT when i shift into 3rd something super annoying happens, its like i shift to fast and the clutch/transmission didn't keep up so it revs up like as if the clutch were slipping bad and I'm not moving at all, so i let go of the gas the rpms shoot down then i can accelerate again. Then after this a Nasty strong smell which I'm sure is the clutch comes on. this has happened 3 times once with my traction control completely off the other 2 times with just the first press. on dtc

anyone know what could be causing this ???

One of three things I would wager a guess at.

1. It's you, not the clutch. You aren't letting the clutch fully engage before mashing the go pedal.

2. During installation your flywheel wasn't properly cleaned.

3. In pursuit of the need for speed you managed to glaze your clutch disc already.

Yup.

Do a 4th gear log if you can and you'll likely see her let go.

I'll be $2500 that OP didn't have his flywheel resurfaced.

I'll take that bet.

(O.P. Lie and say you did and I'll split the $2500 with you).

Funny had that same problem but I don't know what it was, cost me a couple of races too. I have a feeling it was prob my CDV that was releasing my clutch slower than It should causing me to be on the gas quicker then my clutch but .Anyway I removed the CDV changed ALL my oils and put in a new shifter+DSSR and added solid mounts.

That's not bog; your RPMs are still shooting up, your clutch is definitely slipping. Either a bad installation, a faulty clutch/pressure plate, or it's glazed.

Take the clutch delay valve out and report back. Should only take a few minutes.
