M3 Arm Help - Alignement issue
Hi,
Fitted all 8 m3 arms to my 335d touring went in for alignment and they've set it up as 'bmw 335d touring low ride 19" wheels' All the values are in their limits on the print out. Drove for a month, didn't feel great, was a little twitchy but didn't think much of it. Just driving on the motorway and I get a red flat tyre warning light. Anyway I pull over and the rear offside tyre is flat! No amount of air was pumping it up so called for an emergency replacement. When the guy took it off the inside edge is worn through the canvas!! The near side is similar but not deflating just yet. Called the garage who did the alignment and they said that all 3 series have the same alignment specs including m3 etc. The alignment is obviously not right as both inside edges are gone so what do I do? I asked the garage specifically for M3 spec as I assumed with all M3 arms that's what I'd need. Am I missing something?? |

M3 has a different set of alignment values than a standard car.
However, no amount of excess camber / toe will cause a tyre to wear to the canvas in such a short period of time. |
