Question Anyone know of some good twisty roads in JHB

Hey all

I've had my e90 335 (m-sport) for just over a month now, but haven't really found any nice roads to really have some fun with it. I was wondering if anyone knows of some really nice twisty roads in or around JHB where one can really have some fun with the car - obviously it would be preferable if they aren't busy roads and aren't um... policed too much...

Just a thought? Anyone?

Hmm... That's really not a bad suggestion. I've been around there a couple times, but in much lesser cars... How well is the area policed? Or should I just take the plates off before I do any mountain pass carving?

Well On the way there id drive Nicely, but once your there especially between Lydenburg and White river, you wow't see a cop there for the next 30 years, as the bikes use those roads to unleash. most weekends. I was there 2 weeks ago to run in my new car.

My suggestion would be to go Friday stay at Misty Mountains and come back Sunday.

Sounds like a really good plan. Will arrange with the wife. She'll enjoy the stay over - I'll enjoy the roads...

Yeah - I've driven those roads and the main problem is the cops. They know the bikers go up that way a lot and trap a lot there too...

Just a quick update - I drove to Swaziland last week for a bit on R&R at a nature reserve. The route we drove took us through Machadodorp to Barberton and I have to say I encountered probably the best road I've ever driven!

Twisty with a few long stretches, beautiful views - flawless tarmac. It really was a pleasure. We were in my wife's car, but the drive was stunning nonetheless. I'm really considering taking a drive out that way sometime in my car - just to drive the road
