Which IC for Upgrade?

So Im planning on going FBO soon and I want to know which IC i should upgrade to. I will probably go Pure Stage 2 further down the road too. I have seen the VRSF 7 inch and its very convincing for the price. Is there any performance difference between the HD and the regular one other than lower IAT?

If not for lower IATs, what else are your requesting an upgraded front mount to be good at?

If you are going FBO 7" HD is definitely worth it
If you add stage 2 turbo it becomes a must

When I looked up the difference between the 5" ic vs the 7" ic a lot of people were concerned with the turbo lag involved with a bigger ic. Im just curious cause I have stock turbos and if this is true I might just get the 5"

There is literally a thread on this front page discussing this topic. I suggest you look there. Don't worry about turbo lag, the difference is negligible and what you are really searching for with an FMIC is suppressing IATs.

Just FYI, Active Autowerks has a 6" option. It's what I run, & I love it

There's no additional lag or loss of response when going with a 7" over a 5".

10+ years on this forum and I can't remember a single person complaining about lag on their 7in fmic. Only occasional complaints are that their 5in doesn't cool enough, or that they cheaped out and bought a crappy eBay model.
