Improving the angel eyes - E92

I've got an e92 2007 335i, I've installed an LED kit for the angel eyes however I'm not that impressed with the result.

The outer ring is very faint in comparison to the inner ring, I see this is quite a common complaint and my friend who has an E92 M3 has the same issue.

Has anyone found any cheap methods of improving this? or is the only solution to go to someone like KYCS for the conversion?

It's just the way the lights are designed. Are your led bulbs aligned with the holes in the light that feed the outer rings correctly?

Unfortunately so, just checked.

Might save a few pennies and go with the KYCS solution, looks fantastic.

The do LED conversions and it looks fantastic, BMWSteve's thread made me aware of them as he had it done on his car.
