Hey, there's actually a thread about this. That BMW was driven by a forum member's mother when she was hit by that G37. Hold on I'll attach a link.

Yes I saw this in the news. Blatant disregard for life and property. This could have turned out really bad. I'm so glad the lady is okay. I hope they catch the guy and get prosecuted.

What are the chances the owner was the prick and reported it stolen as soon as he messed up and ditched the car.

Hmm I wonder when the car was reported stolen. I can't imagine a thief drawing that much attention to himself by racing in a stolen car. But then again he or she is probably a moron anyway if your stealing cars

Certainly a possibility. I hope the cops print the car and can also determine when it was reported stolen.

Does not seem like a particularly good weekend for 4 series including mine, wrecked on Friday. More importantly everyone walked away without injuries.

Awful video. I have had the privilege/misfortune of addressing injuries related to these preventable collisions. I am thankful that the lady was spared her life.

Rather than start a diatribe about racing, I am reminded that one of the most dangerous acts we perform daily is enter our vehicle. Always be aware of your surroundings and pray that the engineers have thought of this specific scenario when designing your car.

I have seen it all from amputations to death...this stuff always triggers a visceral response. Sorry I could not be more helpful.

He had a front can as well. Is is just not clear enough to read the tag. I saw somewhere a video of the front footage.

Good to see a longer clip of this. From the shorter clip floating around on social media, it started from where the two cars split on either side. Everyone was wondering if the Altima was involved or took off to chase down the G37. From this, it looks like it was racing and bolted after just like the G37 did.

Glad the lady was able to walk away from this because it definitely could have been worse. It's also a shame that the bags didn't deploy on the bimmer. I wonder if it's because the bumper(s) wasn't/weren't impacted.

A front license plate isn't required in California, but great analysis on the side airbag because I certainly didn't see it until it was pointed out.

Better check California law as two plates are required.

That is frightening. Thank god she is ok and survived something that horrific. Leave it to some a hole on the highway to do something stupid and that almost ends someone's life. The main thing is that she survived. The Bimmer is replaceable
