Flat Tire Indicator...

So my flat tire indicator went on the other night, Red in the center, yellow for the small indicator. I have run flats, so I drove it home to explore the next day. Later I checked my air pressure in all tires, and while slightly low (29psi in a front tire) Nothing to indicate a flat. So I reset the indicator.

Any thoughts on this? I would assume if I don't have tire pressure loss, everything's fine, right? I'll keep checking the pressure for a slow leak, but short of that, would you say it was tripped incorrectly and a reset is okay?

Well, same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago. I reset it and all was well...until about 4-5 days later where it went off again and the tire completed separated about 4 miles from my house (out in the boonies). I ended up having to have the car towed and no more RFTs for me. Total pieces of crap. Got 4 new tires for the car for less than the cost to replace 2 of the RFTs.

That happened to me with only 900 miles on my car. I checked the pressure and it was at 25 psi. I filled up the tire with air and 2 days later the tpms went off again. This time I thoroughly checked the tire and discovered a nail embedded right in the middle of it. I put air in it again and used fix a flat. So far the tire has been holding up without any leaks. I intend to get new wheels and tires in a week so I just need the tire to keep working until then.

So has anyone had this happen in which it wasn't accurate? Where it was just a false alarm?

Garage List
The same thing has happened to me several times. . . like 4+
No Flat.
However, i think the last 2 times it went off within 75 miles of taking off and putting back on my wheels. . .

Yeah this happened to me, you pretty much just have to sit around and wait. it could have been that the system was never initialized, slick road conditions or just a misfire.

im waiting to catch the verdict on mine, just went off this morning. bastard.
