That is exactly what I purchased for the xHP tune and it worked fine. I would imagine it will be ok for MHD. Someone with MHD install experience can jump in here to confirm that.

Any reason you are using a tablet?

I ask because I just ended up using my sisters old Samsung phone which she was going to throw away and it works fine

I used it to do the MHD BEF, the XHP Transflash and I know use it all the time as my JB4 screen I just leave it sitting in the coin case just between the radio and auto shift stick

Benefit is I have it in the car glove box 24/7 with all the cables

Not sure a Tablet would fit there?

I use an Acer tab 7 inch. It's halfway between a phone and a tablet and I reckon it's the right size. Small enough to fit in the glovebox and big enough so that you aren't struggling to read it from afar. Not so big that it's unwieldy.

The device itself is rubbish though.

Tablets fit into the glove box as well but it doesn't really matter as they all need to be taken out to charge. My devices are always dead when I go to use them from the glovebox

I use the glovebox USB to charge mine. Alternatively I suppose the 12v socket in the boot and stash the device and cable in the under floor storage in the boot.
