Bluetooth speaker

Hi all,

Needs recommendations for a portable speaker for my iPad. Nothing fancy or expensive, just has to be louder than the crappy iPad speaker. Need it to have a 3.5mm port.

I've never used a portable speaker with a device before but would I be able to use the speaker without batteries if I have it hooked to the 3.5mm on the iPad?

Thanks

You might want to do a google search for that as this
board is about BMW stereo.
Also I wouldn't expect your phone to power external speakers if you want any volume of you want it to play for very long.
Aux lines don't carry power only low voltage music signals.
If you want something to power speakers it has to come form the 12 volt lines supplied by the cigarette
lighter.

monoprice Melody large. cheap and amazing. I have two lol.

awesome Monoprice offers 30-day return no questions asked and one year warranty I bought all their speakers at one point and test them because I did not care about size that's the one I chose the runner-up was their biggest weatherproof one but this one was louder and I did not need weatherproof

Thanks, after looking around I ended up going with the Doss on Amazon. Good price and compact dimensions, fits whats is most important for my needs.
