Not e90, but similar system - e83 (2007 X3 with N52)
Had this issue since I purchased the car: auto lights work, but it has to be really dark. Auto wipers don't work at all.
The windshield is OK, cutoff and lens OK.
I get error message with Rheingold that the system does not recognize the auto lights & wiper feature.
Re-initialize the system, it works for 5-10 minutes as it should (auto lights sensitive & auto wipers work), then reverts back and does not recognize it. Dealer said I need new LCM.
Any words of wisdom on this forum, where should I look? In my mind, if he LCM is bust, the lights would not work at all and would not take coding (re-coding actually). Everything else works fine.
