Key Memory DIY Changes
Howdy, new here. Just picked up a CPO 2003 325CI for the wife and have a question. In reading through the manual basically it looks like every memory configuration change has to be done by the dealer. It irritates me to no ends having to take that car in for every little thing. Is it possible for me to make these changes or is it just not possible? All I want changed right now is for our keys to be linked to our individual memory settings (I'm tired of getting into the car and having my knees in my chest), I want the lights to flash to confirm locking, the headlights to stay on for a period of time after locking the car at night and the doors to lock automatically when you start moving. I think thats it, not sure its worth screwing around with a dealership but do I have a choice? The only way I can figure that this isn't owner programmable is if its done via a computer interface, is that it?

Yes. It is. Just get you car to the dealer for a day to get the free CIP upgraded and it worths the trip. Believe me on that. "You will love the way CKM work, I guarantee it"
