My favorite coded option is Folding Side View Mirrors with the Remote Lock button. I also did a lot of coding for LED's, mainly the brake lights and rear turn signals - the others were error free anyway.

We have a laundry list of coding options on our site, or coder Joe does great work and is very knowledgeable.

I loved this one too, but lately my drivers side mirror hasn't been going back into position correctly. Haven't had time to figure it out yet, and having to readjust my mirrors everytimr kinda nulls the convenience factor.

Does it also do it with the button on the door panel?

I rarely used the button before I did the coding, so I can't really tell you. I'll try it out tomorrow.

The mirror assembly goes back into position fine, it's the glass the gets out of setting. It always ends up pointed down and too far back (I only see the lower portion of the door).

I figured those familiar with coding would get a laugh.

Huge props to you guys for making an awesome cable, providing a comprehensive setup guide for newer versions of Windows and a depository of the necessary files to make it all work.

I came back to BMW after 2.5 years on a different platform. I coded my last E60 including doing the SAT swap, but as it turns out coding isn't like riding a bicycle. You forget how to do it. It's almost like starting from knowing nothing again. I was about to just pull the trigger on Carly, but couldn't get over the fact that I would have to buy their OBD2 interface and make additional in-app purchases to unlock certain features. BimmerGeeks made getting back into coding almost pain free and the cost of their cable (which works great with MHD and XHP too) is peanuts compared to what I could have spent on Carly.

Make sure it's turned on, set the seats and mirrors where you want them, then save the settings. Remember, the settings are key specific. After that, you should not have those issues.

You can use a USB cable with Carly if you're using an android phone. Just need the USB to micro USB adapter. Carly android gives the option of connecting to the OBD via Bluetooth or USB, depending on the hardware you have.

Does not apply to iOS.
