Haywire... follow the links above... DI & CG are both great sites... plus CG has MF's in bulk (6 or 12 packs) that get quality all-purpose MF's under $3 each.

i recommend Detailed Image Ultra Plush Towel. they're soft, absorb a lot when buffing and nice quality. plus the guys who run DI are great!

Got it... I don't know what it is about that border that makes things so expensive. I had the same problem in reverse... wanted something from canada but shipping made it outrageous. Best of luck.

What MF is best for you depends on what you need it for -- glass, interior, buffing off wax, drying?

For use on the paint, these are probably my favorite. I think DI's Ultra Plush is similar: http://www.danase.com/phattowel5pack.html

Also, DI's "reTHICKulous" is the softest, thickest MF I've seen. I don't use it much but it's cool how soft and thick it is: http://www.detailedimage.com/DI-Micr...us-Towel-P130/

i have used those as well, and personally i dont think they even compare to DI's Microfiber. DI has some of the best mf around

I buy mine from Target- they are pretty good quality for the money and since we have hard water- after about 15 washes- they are toast. I can't justify spending too much money on MF when I know they won't last long because of our water.

I do have some from GC and Detailed Image though, but I use them sparingly. There is a difference though- the silk banding on the DI ones are great.

Hey haywire, looks like you're going to slowly be getting into detailing too! I would suggest that you go to a costco near you to get MF towels. The quality probably isn't the best in the world, but they're not expensive, so you can just keep buying them if you don't use them THAT much. If not, perhaps a few towels from America's equal of pep boys, kragen's, autozone would do for now. However, if you are seriously going to get into this, I strongly suggest a waffle weave towel from a site such as detailedimage.com. If you were to try it now, it wouldn't make that much of a difference, but after quite a few washes, you'll begin to appreciate the waffle weave!

Happy detailing!
