Takumi587: Teaser Pics of Oriental Blue 330ci...Not sure if i want to do?

Just got this car in friday night... Did not see it in the daytime till this morning, and did not see all of this coming.

Paint is horrible to the touch, dust all over everything, brake dust just glued to the wheels, interior is def a mess, I am guessing tons of swirls underneath the layer of dirty. I question how someone can just let their car get like this... Well here are the pics and I will prolly be finished tomorrow because it is 101 degrees outside!!!! And not about to have a dehydration collapse again. Enjoy!

Hope you didn't under price yourself, that's going to take quite a bit of work. It also looks like someone was sitting or something was placed on top of the hood on the passenger side onto the dust. I can only imagine the swirls on that, good luck.

OMG..it looks exactly like my friends car that I detailed a few weeks a go (Same color and everything). Except this is MUCH worse. I'll never understand how people let their cars get like this. It says a lot about the owner IMO. Goodluck man..I look forward to the results!

very generous of the car owner to leave a rice hat for you so you don't die of heat-exhaustion... =)

So do you estimate, do a portion and then based on how hard it goes give them a final price, but say start high?

That is a 2 day solid job. The wheels alone will take hours of work.

GL, I am glad I detail for fun not a living.

How does an owner let his car get this bad? A certain Silver 3 series convertible comes to mind.....

Looks like a chick's car with that big hat sitting in the passenger seat. Can't believe they even left a big ass drink in the cup holder.

I welcome all crudy cars to my garage.

I wouldn't charge any less than $300 to fully detail that POS. You should do the same. And don't take no for an answer.

I did not purchase this vehicle(sorry about the incoherent 1st post). Anyways I am still amazed that I had the audacity to take on this task, well i mean the decision is already irrevocable. But I know that the way it is looking the end result will be outstanding.

1st day(saturday): 12am-4pm: Just simply washed the vhicle and tried to clean the wheels and engine bay. I knew that I would have to take off the wheel one by one to really clean it up, but owner insisted that it was unnecessary and that they plan to get new wheels anyways. My break was going to a concert.

2nd day(sunday):8am-1pm: Clay barred the entire vehicle and waxed it so when it comes again for memorial weekend I can Polish the car. And after 1pm went to a USC graduation ceremony.

Car was taken back by the owner and driven to San Diego. The owner knew I had a booked weekend for a concert and graduation so they are fine with coming back this memorial weekend to drop it off again. B/c gotta head back to school for the week in Irvine. So when they return I have to Clay/polish/sealant/wax and full interior detail. So until then(prolly sunday morning hopefully) i will be finished with the car with all the work. I know that when it does come back that I will have to garner all the strength I have into this car.

Here is a progress report of the vehicle:

AS you can see the clay bar could not even take most of it off too =(

It is not even perfect which pisses me off! I seriously wanted to take off the wheel but I just did not have the time to do it.

Here is me wetting the wheel to see if any of the brake dust would come off

Obviously almost nothing came off

Clay bar:

What I have to deal with:

Not too bad if you think about it... Maybe b/c it never gets washed haha

Waxed it so when i get it back won't be hard to wash and clay for memorial weekend:

UNTIL NEXT TIME!

This part had to be the hardest... I could not clean it up as much as I would like but it is coming back again... But now I know I need more abrasive polish for them.
