Turbo to intercooler pipe. Was common in the F3X platform and the idea was brought over after popular demand.

That's correct, passenger side. We've been getting a lot of e-mails from customers claiming they're having to replace their turbo outlet pipe due to the OEM plastic pipe failing so we came up with a solution

Can you take a couple photos of the inside of the pipe? I am pretty sure the stock size was 2.5 inches but I see in your listing you say it is 3 inches. So this pipe is in fact bigger than the stock unit? Last question, you say it fits the 2011 - 2012 X1, I am unaware of any changes from 2012 - 2015. Does it not fit the later E84 years or is it just not confirmed therefore you don't have it listed?

The 3" is a misprint, I'll have it corrected now. Stock is 2.5" OD, not ID. The ID is closer to 2.2". The OEM pipe necks down in a few different places whereas this remains 2.5" throughout

It's about half the price of a new OEM unit and currently the least expensive option

I plan to upgrade my N55 turbo and some vendors offer an additional cost for an inlet, is this kinda the same inlet they are selling?

The outlet is from the turbo to the intercooler.

The inlet is the duct to the actual turbo.

Passenger side. It connects the turbo to the intercooler.

The inlet pipe connects your intake to the turbo.

Edit: beat me to it.

This may be another daft question - same fitment for RHD and LHD?

I'm in the UK and I will be installing my upgraded turbo in the coming weeks.

Cheers,
Steve

What’s the install process for this? From the top or below/front? Can it be pulled out without removing the water pump?

This will fit both RHD and LHD. You can install from the bottom without removing the water pump.
