Aero lip Question
Hi, I'm currently planning on getting the front oem aero lip for the e92 and possibly an m3 spoiler. I was planning to get these two items pre-painted, so I wont have to worry about taking them to a body shop. Where can I get these two items for a reasonable price? I tried looking at Tischer BMW, any other recomendations? Also, I don't have to buy both items from one vendor, wherever I can get them the cheapest.
Lastly, I want to get clear reflectors, but cant imagine myself paying $70 for them, does anyone know where to get them for cheap? Thanks |

+1 ..i've heard good things about Longtrans work, Tischer BMW offers it as well but they want GB's of 5 + and the timeframe is longer to get it. I believe Longtrans a bit cheaper anyway!

i got the aerolip from long tran...the paint is ok...compared to the paint on the front bumper, the aero lip is worse because after 9 months of it being on, the lip is not smooth anymore due to rock chips and debris, but my front bumper is still smooth as silk after a wash. i'm not sure what kinda of paint he uses but i don't think its as good as stock

For LongTran:
Can you send me a link to pics of your aero lip, or just some JPG's? Since my car sits low with H & R Sport's, I'd like to know much lower will the car's nose be with the aerolip? I enjoy just dumping my car at the car wash, or with valet and not having to worry. This info would be helpful. Installation...I know it's easy, but do you provide a guide to assist? The part comes with fasteners, tape, screws, or no? The part comes painted? |

i wasn't bashing long tran or anything...i think if you get it painted anywhere other than coming from factory it will be the same. maybe have the clear bra installed on the lip to protect it...i should have done that when i got mine

Yeah, I have the Tischer lip and they painted it. After 2 weeks I already have one nail size chip on it. I think that's just the nature of the beast...rocks will love the lip.
I bought a touch up paint pen from Express Paint and a clear coat one to just touch up any of these chips...easy to do. Clear bra on the lip could be a good idea, but it will get damaged as well and show...though not a bad as without it. |
