I see A LOT of i8 styling in this car and their new $100K coupe. I like it. I think ToYo will have no problem selling these puppies.

So.. It's clearly at least a hybrid given all the stupid blue on it. Please stop.

I guess I'll have to add this to my Embarrassing Automotive Crushes thread because I really dig it.

Nice lighting signatures. It looks very handsome. I’m still not a fan of the side window angles towards the rear doors. I think it would look much better if it was a smooth curve and could do without the small kink. I wonder how much of the design will make it to production. The Lc500 looks pretty close to the concept car it’s based on.

Yeah seriously... BMW has exciting engines with lame designs while Toyota has aggressive designs with lame engines. Mercedes seems to be the only company with the right combination. Audi? They're basically an afterthought at this point...

^^^ The new twin turbo V6 in the Lexus LS500 is the step to the right direction. I think Toyota is fully capable of making an exiting engine, they just decided to stick with reliability and I respect that. Everytime I need to pick a reliable (and unexcited) car for my wife with a good resale I go with Lexus.

They've done it before. The Supra was ultra-reliable, as was the turbocharged MR-2. They just made a decision to exit the performance car market completely and stick to the ultra-profitable, yet incredibly boring, bread and butter sedan and SUV segments. BMW is now clearly making a similar shift. Sell a car to every person on earth and forget the unprofitable enthusiasts.

lexus needs to figure out something else for the front ends of their cars, the predator look isn't doing it for me personally
