Another Sport Springs on 328xi Question
I'm looking to put 328i sport springs on my 2009 328xi coupe with OEM Bilstein B4's. I already picked up front D4 springs and will acquire D4 for the rear. I'm wondering if I will need anything else to make them fit together.
I've read though a lot of threads but I couldn't find a consensus. Change or cut the bump-stops? Do I need different strut tops on the front? This thread had some good points but no answers. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...sport+on+328xi My current plan is to try and combine the sport springs with the oem b4's in 2 weeks and report back what happens. The D4 is not an ideal spring for the front of 328xi.

Haven't gotten around to installing the springs yet due to chasing down a spark plug/ coil misfire. I estimate to try it out in a week or two.
What I see is a lot of people praising a d5/d4 spring combo. My question is whether this can be done on an oem XI strut setup or if other parts need to be swapped or modified. |

I put the front D4 springs on with new struts and the handling is noticeably better. I used stock bump stops from the xi struts and did not cut them down.
I feel like it's sitting a bit higher than on the old set up. Is it possible the suspension is resting on the bump stops if they're too big? |
