Another Sport Springs on 328xi Question

I'm looking to put 328i sport springs on my 2009 328xi coupe with OEM Bilstein B4's. I already picked up front D4 springs and will acquire D4 for the rear. I'm wondering if I will need anything else to make them fit together.

I've read though a lot of threads but I couldn't find a consensus. Change or cut the bump-stops? Do I need different strut tops on the front? This thread had some good points but no answers.

My current plan is to try and combine the sport springs with the oem b4's in 2 weeks and report back what happens.

The D4 is not an ideal spring for the front of 328xi.

Haven't gotten around to installing the springs yet due to chasing down a spark plug/ coil misfire. I estimate to try it out in a week or two.

What I see is a lot of people praising a d5/d4 spring combo. My question is whether this can be done on an oem XI strut setup or if other parts need to be swapped or modified.

I put the front D4 springs on with new struts and the handling is noticeably better. I used stock bump stops from the xi struts and did not cut them down.

I feel like it's sitting a bit higher than on the old set up. Is it possible the suspension is resting on the bump stops if they're too big?
