Caring for BBS's
Ive had my BBS's for a few months now and the lips are starting to get a little dull.
Im thinking they need a good clay > metal polish > wheel sealant. What metal polish do you guys like? Ive read good things about Adams Metal Polish 1 & 2, but would prefer a 1-step product. Last edited by oldaccount; 05-20-2008 at 11:58 AM.. |

To polish the rims you'll want to start out with the least aggressive polish that you have, as your wheels paint thickness is no where near as thick of strong as a cars.
Definitely clay before polishing. And seal for sure, CG and Poorboys make a good wheel sealant. Try to reapply every 2-3 months, and do 2-3 coats for each session. Don't forget to do the inner rim. As for upkeep stay away from harsh wheel cleaning chemicals as you'll strip the sealant. A nice lubing car wash is all you'll need, something like Meguiers Gold Class or Poorboy's Slick and Suds. I love BBS. I actually miss mine and somewhat regret selling them.
