Wheel offsets.....
Hi guys
Looking at getting some M6 reps for the vert ![]() Now, at the mo it has 225M's on and after reading some previous threads people have mentioned that the offsets of these OEM wheels are ET37 front and ET39 rear. The wheels I am looking at are: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...:X:RTQ:DE:1123 I can choose from the following offsets/sizes in the M6 reps: 8x19"et34(front) & 9x19"et37(rear) or 8.5x19"et34(front) & 9.5x19"et34(rear) I want to use the std RFT's (235 and 255) as I have a spare set and the ones left on the 225M's will be ideal to use as spares if I have any punctures ![]() Any advice on offsets welcome. I was not going to opt for the wider rim as I thought the tyres would offer even less protection than they do now! The supplier has assured me that the quality is spot on. They are italian made and not cheap asian or polish copies. The weight of the rims are 13.5kg (front) and 15kg (rear) Look forward to your words of wisdom!! Paul ![]() |

I'd go with these, 8.5x19"et34(front) & 9.5x19"et34(rear). Because those are the most aggresive looking without rubbing.

The ones I bought were ET34 which suited the front well, your rears are wider so should fit.
Won't a 255 rear be a little narrow for a 9.5 rear rim ? |

Do you think so?
I have checked out some other rims and they seem comparable. Genuine BMW CSL rims come in at 10.2kg (front) and 10.8kg (rear) but these cost over twice the price!! I wonder how heavy my existing 225M rims are?! |
