Tried to clean wheel wells today :-(
My wheel wells are filthy.
They are caked with dried mud. It's kind of like cement. I tried spraying them down with a hose but that didn't really help much. Next I tried scrubbing them with a kitchen scrub pad/sponge which helped a little but I couldn't reach in all the way. I would have to remove the wheels to really reach them. It got this filthy when I ended up driving on a dirt path that's more suitable for an SUV or pickup truck. Ugghh, never drive on dirt paths !!! |

Get some heavy duty rim cleaner, spray your rims and let it soak for a few minutes (don't let it sit more than that). Then wash off. Then get yourself a nice long wheel brush and a bucket with soap and get in there and break your back

Borrow a pressure washer from a friend or get a cheaper electric one. Pressure washing will knock most, if not all of the dirt off. I bought one not too long ago, and it does the job very well.

maybe try this... https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It works wonders on my wheels, almost no scrubbing after letting it sit for about 5 minutes. Not so sure how well it works on wheel wells though since they aren't alloy metal |

The problem wasn't so much the wheels, it was the wheel well liners that were covered in a layer of dried mud/dirt. They're also hard to clean since access is tight.

Just wait for rain, then drive in it...

LOL, yeah I thought that entire thread was fetish porn but went straight into coding.
In beautiful MARLAND I hope, sadly not where I am. My local dog park could certainly use some rain to cleanse it.
