Well, unless the exit clearance is that low also and there is no parking attendant at the exit, that guy would have to pay the penalty of a "lost ticket", which would be the maximum daily allowance! So, not so smart after all!

Won't work in recently build or refurbished parking garages across Europe though - Most of them are equipped with License plate capture cameras (all of Amsterdam city centre garages are).
