1988 Supra Turbo for grabs
I had an '89 Supra Turbo that I just loved. This 1988 one is dad's, and he is the original owner. However, it has been sitting in the driveway for quite a long time. It has a brand new battery, fairly new tires, and is fully optioned out except for the 5-speed manual. Has targa top, TEMS (Toyota Electronic Modulated Suspension), etc.). Problem: We had started this car a few months ago, and everything was fine. Recently, I tried to start it, but no juice. I bought a brand new battery from Costco. The car would crank, but acted as if it had no gasoline. I drained the tank, and put in new gas. Still wouldn't start. Was told by one that it needs a new fuel pump. Another mechanic told me it needs a new head gasket. I'm not sure who to believe, but it would be nice to get this car off my driveway. So whoever wants this to either tinker with or use as a parts car, have at it. We're giving it away as is, pink slip and all. Just come pick it up. |

Damn, always wanted to play with a supra turbo....
If I was even somewhat close, I'd grab it, hell, I'd push it home...

I am at my office atm, so I can't take any pics.
Here is a photo I googled. It looks like this one, same color, same body style. The major difference is that ours has the stock wheels, and doesn't come with the girl. |

yeah, sorry the car's already spoken for.
don't feel too bad bmw_e90. the car has been sitting on the driveway for quite sometime. sometimes that's much worse than driving it a lot. rubber pieces, interior parts, gaskets, etc., begin to deteriorate. this was a wonderful car at one time, but mechanically, it would cost quite a bit to bring it back to life IMHO. |
