E90 M3 Mirrors/Speaker grill compatibility with non-M

I know this topic has been discussed before, but my search results have not allotted me with the information that I am looking for. I have a 2011 335i with power fold and auto dimming mirrors. I am curious if pre-lci E90 M3 mirrors (with power fold and auto dim) will be plug and play. I have read that there are two different style pin arrangements for the mirror plugs (3pin or 5pin), I am unsure which cars have which, or even which my car has.

I am also curious on the compatibility with the M3 speaker grills and if they will fit over my HK speakers. This is purely for aesthetics because I have always thought that the exposed metal behind the grills looked sweet.

Long story short, I came across a M3 partout locally and might be able to score some parts for a decent price.

Plug and play for sure. The 5 pin style are for cars without auto dim and power folding. Yep the car with more functions of the mirrors has less wiring than a car with less mirror functions.

The speaker grill I believe should fit as well. It's the whole black plastic piece that's surround the upper part of the door frame. THis I cannot say will fit for sure but M3 uses the same door as e90.

Thank you for the information! Are the premium speakers in the M3 the same as the HK premium speakers in the 335i? or are the speakers themsleves different?

I'm not too sure to that. Possibly members over in the Audio forum are more knowledgeable with audio configuration.
