Raspberry Pi as a meth controller?
Would this work to control a meth system?
Taking in a signal from a map sensor and using that to control the pulse width for the pump? I’m a newbie to Pi but can learn... Any thoughts? |

If you have the knowledge to program the failsafes, warnings, control outputs, etc could be a fun project. Personally, (could be due to lazyness on my part) I'd look at a set up from SnowPerformance and call it a day.

Well.....
so for a fail safe I’m thinking have a pressure switch set to just below my start pressure, so the pump won’t get power till this is met. That’ll protect against flooding at idle ect. I want to wire my float switch into the circuit of the washer low level switch if that’ll work and not throw a code so when it’s low I get the warning on the dash so I know one of the two is low. I don’t want drill my dash for a light ect. Part of it is cost and other part is stories of some failures... I like the Devils own controller, but also the one from Europe that replaces a dash vent who’s name I forget. I already have the pump and wiring, just need a nozzle (have the holder) Probably end up being one of those things I wish I just brought a kit for, but it’ll be fun, start with a small nozzle and go from there. Just reading up on PWM and if the pi can do it, seems it can but guessing through a component |

What pump are you running with your Torqbyte setup? I'm thinking of going this way as well.
