Serpentine belt stripped, need help

Okay, a bit of a long story but want to say everything.

In June of this year I put all new pulleys(minus the alternator pulley)and a new continental belt on my 2007 335i because something was squealing. Well after I did all that everything was good. About a month ago something starting squeaking again so I figured it was the alternator pulley. I went ahead and ordered one and installed it yesterday morning. Got it all done and reused the belt and fired it up. Started normal with no issues, but it still had a faint squeak. I drove about 2 miles then parked it, then drove 4 miles then parked it. When I went to start it again it started normally but made a really weird noise and when I put it in reverse the motor cut off. I popped the hood and realized the serpentine belt was eaten up.

I have since removed the belt and can't get the car to crank over. I have read the horror stories of issues with the serpentine belt getting sucked in through the front main seal.

Basically before I can determine if any motor damage has occurred I need to get the motor to start, but it won't even crank. I have checked the fuses that seem to be associated with the starter and they were all okay. I read about a ibs issue with the negative terminal so I disconnected that and it still won't start.

I pulled the codes and the only thing I have is 29f3 and 2ef7. I have tried tapping the starter and it won't crank.

When I insert the key all of the interior lights come on, the gauge lights come on, the radio comes on as if there is no issue, but there is no cranking of the motor.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Starter issues are fairly common, you could test it by jumping the starter.

I just wanted to update my thread, it ended up being a bad starter.

I appreciate the offer on a starter but was able to get one over the weekend and get the car moving again.

Thanks for the help! ☺

So what made the car stall? Did any of the pulleys seize?
