Yes. More revs, maybe a return to ITB. Just signs of life at the division that used to stand for Motorsports. Aside from the E36 to E46 M3 motors (the real ones, not the US S52) it's hard to think of M ever doing less developmental work for a new M motor.

They're just sticking to a warmed over version of a nearly ten year old motor design. I'm sure it's a fine lump, but M used to do new, interesting things, not just skate by on past accomplishments.

The E60 there doesn't sound too spectacular. The best video of one I think is this when the flaps are opened at 35 seconds

Wow, I have the F10 and the performance is on a different level than the E60 and E39 but can't deny those two sounded much better.

Sounded like they started the F10 on a Cold Start. The car won't let you rev higher until after about 60 seconds, which is what it sounds like in the video. Sounds like the same happened with the F90.

Of course E60 sounds the best.
