All telecoms and internet providers.

Non tech - banks and health insurance companies...

None of the above have your best interest in mind.

Re: Micro$oft. Have you tried to register some program you bought from them in the last couple of months/year? I have a god-damned product card, with a key. I have to log in with an authenticated account, enter that product "entitlement" key, jump thru some more hoops, THNE I can click on a link to display my real product key that will actually get eh software working.

Further, if I am doing this at work, and want more than ~30 software applications authenticated, I have to make up a NEW authenticated account to enter those entitlement keys to get to my key.

That shouldn't be a trust issue more of an end user experience issue.

I could explain the reasoning why they do that but that wouldn't solve the frustrating process.

They don't trust me with a key card, I don't trust them with my email address.

Hmm makes you wonder who has our best interest as many companies pretend to.....but reality is most act in the nature of the corporations best interests which are non-transparent in many ways.
Damn even my dentist is out to get me.....went in for cleaning only and ends up trying for root canal.....I told him clean only.

Yeah the forced hoop jumping is always a dead giveaway on who not to trust......they just want too much free info.....we the consumer should charge user fees for any extra data that is not absolutely necessary to give for these products.
