Confirming CIP 20...

I am picking my new e90(with Nav/I-Drive) this saturday. From reading the posts on this board, it is obvious that I need CIP 20. I do not know what my build date was, I cannot find it on the owners circle site. My question is...how can I be sure, when I go to pick the car, that I have CIP20???

The only way I know of is to have the dealership check.

You can find out your build date and car info when you open you drive door. Just look at the lower panel and you will see a black tag.

I would recommend setting an appointment with your service to update your software. It only took mine few hours to update it so it shouldn't be a problem. Maybe they can do it before they deliver to to you so talk to your SA

The only way to find that out is by hooking up ur car to dealers diagnostic console...
