Camera Question...
I know this is a little off topic but what camera do you guys use to take shots of your cars before and after details? I have a crappy camera that won't show any swirls. I don't want to search or any other crap like that. I just want to know what YOU detailers use. Thanks Guys!!

I think it varies. I'm a photographer, so I use my DSLR. Any camera will work to capture swirls, just make sure you focus on the SURFACE of the paint, and not the REFLECTIONS in the paint. If you focus on the reflections, you won't see the swirls.
If you have a P&S camera that refuses to autofocus on the surface of the paint, that's not unusual. Just take some painter's tape and stick it right where you want to focus. Half-press the shutter, and AF will engage and focus on the tape, but the shutter won't trip. Keeping the shutter half-pressed, remove the tape and then press the shutter the rest of the way to take the picture. You don't need to use tape -- you can lay your finger or a MF towel on the car and focus on that. Just half-press the shutter, then remove it and press the shutter the rest of the way.
