NAV: how to quickly just bring up a map?
Hey all,
I've read the manual, searched, etc. If I want to just quickly bring up a map in the display without guidance to any location, how would I do that? So far the only way I've figured out how to do this is start guidance to any location and then cancel the guidance. Am I missing something? |

Voice command "Map North Oriented" or Select "Navigation" (right on i drive controller), then select down a few times (Can't remember if it's 2 or 3) then select "Map North Oriented" from that line.
If route guidance is on, then you will go directly to the map view upon selecting navigation. |

wait for then nav to boot up first....... it takes a full minute after you start the car sometimes (if you do not unlock the doors a good distance away from the car) You can just use voice command and say "map" and it will bring you to the last orientation you used. you can also say "map direction of travel" or "map north" depending.
You can also (once everything is loaded) slide the controller for 2 seconds to the right and it should bring up the nav menu of whatever you were on last (this time it should be on the map) if you try to go to the map right away, it will not work the car needs to load the map info and it also pauses to wait for input on the destination before displaying the map.... Best of luck!
